Sinem Adar is an associate at the Centre for Applied Turkey Studies of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs. Trained as a sociologist, Adar's research focuses on questions of state and nation building, migration, and Turkish diaspora policies. Her work on these issues has been published extensively in both academic journals (e.g., Sociological Forum, Political Power and Social Theory) and non-academic media (e.g., Jadaliyya, Open Society and ReSetDoc).
