Francesca Feo is a PhD candidate in political science and sociology at Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence. She mainly works in the field of politics and gender. Her focus is on the varieties of resistance to gender+ equality policies, and the gender politics of left-wing and right-wing populist parties in Southern Europe. From March 2023, she will be a post-doc researcher at the Department of Government at Bergen University, working on the ERC-funded project “SUCCESS”. Her publications appear in Politics & Gender, The European Journal of Gender and Politics, International Political Science Review, Contemporary Italian Politics, and Politics and Governance. She is co-convenor of the Standing Group on gender and politics of the Italian Political Science Association (SISP).
