Norma Osterberg-Kaufmann is a researcher and senior lecturer in comparative politics and democracy studies. Her research focuses on concepts of democracy, measuring the meaning and understanding of democracy, legitimacy, and mixed methods. She is the author of numerous publications on the measurement of contested concepts such as legitimacy or the meaning of democracy, on the repertory grid as an innovative method for measuring such concepts, and on a global concept of democracy.
